- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup old fashioned oats
- ½ cup dried cranberries
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- ½ cup chopped cashews
Directions for you:
In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Layer into the bottom of a clean and dry one-quart jar. Next, add the oats, cranberries, and white chocolate chips in layers. Then add a layer of brown sugar and a layer of white sugar. Finish by adding the chopped cashews. Put on a lid (you can get as fancy or plain as you want here), attach a gift tag with the mixing and baking instructions, and your gift is ready!

What you’ll need:
½ cup (one stick) butter, softened, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 egg.
Preheat oven to 350°. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
In a mixing bowl, stir together the contents of the jar.
In a separate bowl, add the softened butter, vanilla, and egg. Cream together with a whisk or hand beater until well mixed and fluffy.
Add the creamed mixture to the flour mixture and gently stir together until everything is well mixed.
Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or just until the edges begin to turn golden. Let the cookies cool for a couple of minutes on the baking sheet before removing them to finish cooling on a wire rack before storing in an airtight container.
